This fresh cheese made in the Bresse region is sold in individual portions. It is made from skim milk and is available in two formats. Its taste is fresh and salty. It must be consumed quickly after opening.
Smooth, soft, white, homogeneous paste.
Carré Frais is a fresh cheese made with milk and cream. Originally, the cheese was a salted version of fresh Neufchâtel cheese, and was created by a cheese-maker in Gournay-en-Bray. In 1872, the recipe was perfected by the Gervais company and named “Carré Frais”.
